IRC4HR supports the following scholarships:


Since 2021, IRC4HR has offered the Richard A. Beaumont Memorial Scholarship in conjunction with the the National Academy of Human Resources Foundation. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) manages the scholarship. 

This award honors the memory of Richard A. Beaumont, a long-time pioneer in the field of human resources and leader of IRC4HR and its predecessor organizations. 
The scholarship gives one grant per year to a graduate student. For more information, see the NAHR Foundation website.

In 1946, Industrial Relations Counselors, Inc., predecessor to IRC4HR, funded Clarence J. Hicks Industrial Relations Fellowships at six universities. These awards honored the memory of Clarence Hicks, at whose suggestion the Industrial Relations programs at six universities were established with the financial support of John D. Rockefeller.

The six university programs in industrial relations were:

  • CalTech
  • Princeton
  • University of Michigan
  • Stanford University
  • MIT
  • Queens University (Canada)

The fellowship still continues at several of these schools based on the original funding.

In 1973, Industrial Relations Counselors, Inc., predecessor to IRC4HR, endowed a professorship at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. In 1998, those endowed funds were converted into the IRC Asian Scholarship to provide one scholarship each year to a selected Asian national student. The scholarship was renamed the Richard A. Beaumont Memorial Scholarship in 2022.
